STUDY CENTERS
PRE-SSC COACHING: Bread Society has decided to start Study Centers for free Pre-SSC coaching to students of Govt. & Aided schools with the purpose of improving their performance in the SSC Board Examinations. Students with about 60% marks in 9th standard will be preferred. Others desirous of putting in hard work will also be considered. Coaching will be provided on all holidays to 10th standard students to begin with. Students absenting continuously for three holidays will be discontinued.
BREAD Society prefers to avail of the infrastructure facilities in Govt. or Aided schools on holidays with the permission of Head Masters and other concerned authorities. A dedicated local Coordinator may identify a group of about 40 students (from nearby Govt. & Aided schools) interested in taking the coaching as well as the teachers willing to teach on holidays. Proposals may be submitted by the Coordinator with the consent of the Head Master in the prescribed form given below
STUDY CENTERS IN REMOTE VILLAGES: Study Centers will be started in remote villages with no Govt. or Aided schools to provide free guidance to all students of all classes going to a nearby Govt. or Aided school and willing to attend the Center regularly. The purpose is to provide a congenial place to students who may lack facilities at home as well as to keep them away from omnipresent TV and other distractions at home and to inculcate discipline by observing “Study hours” strictly.
A local Coordinator will identify a local person to guide the students as well as a place for the Study Center. The Guide can be from the unemployed educated youth or a retired person or a house-wife willing to spare time during early mornings and evenings on weekdays and during day time on holidays. Local Coordinator may submit the proposal in the prescribed form given below.
CEEP COACHING: Students from Govt. and Aided schools wishing to take Common Entrance Examination for Polytechnic (CEEP) will be given free coaching from the completion of SSC examinations till CEEP test. Students with about 75% marks in Mathematics in 9th standard or in the SSC pre-final examination will be preferred. Others willing to put in hard work will also be considered on case to case basis.
Coaching exclusively for CEEP will also be taken up at other places if the local Coordinator identifies students as well as teachers willing to teach during holidays. Local Coordinator may submit the proposal in the prescribed form given below.
All the above proposals should be routed through District Coordinators. The cost of supporting a Study Center may be between Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 30,000. Donors may please contact the Secretary with details.
